Following a succesful visit of young people from Barby to Stourport in 1996 a party of young people from Stourport went to Barby in the summer of 1997.
These are a few of the memories.
Here we are on the steps of the "Rathaus" with the "Burgermeister" who had just addressed us inside.

Here the party is insde the Cathedral at Magdeburg. It is with the Cathedral that the Diocese of Worcester has it's link.

Most of the group in Wittenberg outside the church door on which Martin Luther is reported to have fixed his list of "Articles".

New friendships were cemented at the Craft Center in Barby.

More artists making friends.

The whole group with residents from Barby some where in the Harz.

After a full day touring and exploring, including a visit to the caves, we found ourselves at at cafe inside an open cave.

Where all enjoyed a cool drink, because this was high summer in Germany.

And a quiet chat. After that it was home for evening meal.

And finally, Ernst in cooking mood.
