Visit of youth from Barby in 2008.

Another party of young People from Barby came over in August 2008.

By now we were using EasyJet into Bristol which meant our visitors arrived at 1:00am on Thursday morning 14th August.
There was little time for anything other than with hosts and to bed.

On Thursday morning it was off to Worcester Cathedral.

Christian examines the Ceiling Painting. (It's a mirror he is looking at!)

Chris and Liz taking time out.

Derek and Christian share some humour over a sculpture.

Joachim in thinking mode.

Mary and Christian sharing notes.

I missed the Young People as they all decided to climb the Tower.

Lunch time in the Cathedral Cloisters.
Soup, Rolls and Cream cakes.
And much talking.

After lunch our young visitors went off around Worcester City, shopping and may be sight seeing.

In the evening it was the Welcome Meal in Church,

A time to renew friendships and reminice.

Planning time, with Bianca acting as interpreter.

Music time with Christian.

Change of leader to the Father and Daughter team.

Looks like real enjoyment for these two!!

But this lot look happier.

On Friday we went to the Black Country Museum in Dudley.

Our visit started with a canal trip which took us under Castle Hill in Dudley with a history lesson on Geology and the Industrial Revolution arond Dudley.

Tim and James demonstrating "legging" through the tunnel.

We all then went our own way finding food and exploring the site.

In the evening it was the traditional Bar-B-Q at Liz and Brian's.

Saturday's venue was the Cotswold Hills.

Fist call was to the Cotswold Falconry Center.

This little Owl greeted us.

Here are a couple of the residents looking at us!
(We saw them both flying free later).

And here are some of us looking at them.

Here we are at the free flying display,
yes they let the birds go and let them fly aroud freely.

Little Owl.

Not so little Vulture!!.

And then we went to Bourton on the Water.

The young people again went off to do their own sightseeing,

but Joachim visted the motor Museum to find his Dream Car.

Then Christian and Jaochim visited a star of British Children's Television.

And Saturday evening Chris opened her house.

Sunday morning we were in church at All Saint's, Wilden.

We all went separate ways on Sunday afternoon, our young visitors paying a visit to Cadbury World for some chocolate tasting.

And in the evening we decended on Derek and Mary.

Monday was good bye day and after a shopping trip into Stourport we all gatehered in Church for the farewell.

And so to the final Bye Bye at Bristol Airport.

But already new visits are being planned.
